Abraham Lincoln kept a pocket devotional called A Believer’s Daily Treasure, first published in the mid-1800s by the Religious Tract Society of London. It may have been a gift from his wife Mary. Applewood’s 2015 edition includes a Carl Sandburg introduction (from 1957), who wrote that it shows Lincoln was a man of deep faith.
