The serious drought of Southern California during the mid-1970s created a ripe environment
for local skateboarders to endlessly practice their tricks toward legendary perfection.
Empty swimming pools became both training ground and stage for young skateboard surfers throughout Los Angeles, parts of the San Fernando Valley, Venice Beach, and as far away as 
San Francisco, Baja California, Mexico.  Thankfully, a young photographer name Hugh Holland
encountered the skateboarders one afternoon in 1975.  For the next three years he documented 
these young outsiders.  LOCALS ONLY depicts his photographs. These guys were amazing!
